Accurate detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus
The ProTect™ Covid-19 RT-qPCR test is a nucleic acid test that identifies the RNA of the virus isolated from patient samples using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Known as the gold standard method, it provides high sensitivity and specificity to detect down to 10 copies of the virus. The test targets multiple genes on the virus to ensure accurate and specific detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
